I've always had a bit of skepticism about free online magazines. I don't know why, maybe I'm afraid that they are too amateurish and therefore created with little care, with far-fetched topics, with non-existent graphics, etc. Reading Knife , however, I changed my mind. It is a magazine created by the Nero Cafè website, the crime and mystery network. And it looks like a good magazine. The graphics are professional, the layout of the magazine suggests that there is a staff behind it who wanted to put craftsmanship aside and instead focused on quality. The contents are interesting.
We talk about literature through interviews with established authors, reviews and analyzes of literary works, book recommendations. There are also two stories, one by Luigi Musolino and one by Stefano Pastor. I really appreciated the two articles by Bonfanti, who explains the editor's work, and by Valsecchi, who talks to us about online tools for those who love to Special Data write, as well as the interview with Danilo Arona. In short, a rich and satisfying issue, from which to draw to hear from the very voices of the participants, writers and publishing professionals, how the literary world works. Issue 0 is online (the link opens a PDF), referring to the months February, March and April, with 38 pages. Number 1 will be released in May. A positive opinion, therefore, also because I know some of the staff's names and know how they work.
The man was aware of it. It was for that reason that he had gone to the cemetery, to dig up the woman who had died of syphilis that morning. Several hours later everything was ready and the man stood aside with his head bowed, reluctantly accepting the law of his time. The woman, crying, had entered the house to prepare to give her youth to her lord. The woman's father had asked the feudal lord to accept her daughter's wishes and take her in the dark, such was the young woman's shyness. And he had accepted her request, already enjoying that fresh and immaculate body. When she entered the bedroom, completely shrouded in darkness, she smelled the scent of freshly picked flowers and other fragrances that she couldn't recognize. She glimpsed the woman's form, motionless under her sheets.
